I only ever shaved once when I was 12. I’m now on the verge of 19 and all I’ve done is a trim here or there. Honestly shaving scared me, but I do like the look of shaved limbs and pits. I’m trying to become more comfortable with mine so that I don’t feel the need to hide 100% of the time. I’ve already gotten a bunch of my friends saying it’s really cool that I don’t shave! I thought this shirt I made after Season 3 of Sherlock would be appropriate for my first real unveiling.

i did a thing! i know it might seem silly to men who aren’t really expected to care about their body hair or women who remove theirs, but i stopped shaving nearly two years ago and have been feeling self conscious about my body hair since i started dressing more feminine this year, i know it’s silly (and kind of sexist, and racist for that matter) but dark hair is still kind of stigmatised as being more masculine in my head for some reason. for that reason i resisted the urge to lighten my body hair for ages until today, i figure if i realise that it’s problematic but know for certain that it’ll make me feel better about myself then there’s no big harm really. i love it so much, with my pale skin, freckles and ginger pits i think it makes me look like a natural redhead, like dita von teese! 😋 today i’m going out in my lovely new sundress, WITHOUT a shawl or cardigan, oh yeah ☀️💕 #littlevictories #bodypositive #feminism #selflove #hairypitsclub by glitterpiglet http://ift.tt/1szyapy
